5 weeks into uni

Hi ppl! How's life been getting on? Whether it's uni, working, serving the country etc, hope it has gone smmothly for ya =)

I have already spent 5 weeks in Yunnan Garden (can you believe some profs actually refer NTU to this name?), and time is just like flying past.

Uni life is busy even though we don't seem to attend lessons as much as JC. Everything is rush, rush and more rush, projects, lectures, tutorials and even rushing for bus, haha.

Hmm, I'm still CCA-less and am too lazy to find one, haha. Any recommendations?

Oh, I realised that if uni ask you to submit those passport size photo, do submit one that you look pretty good in it. Cos, especially in the case of NTU, everyone taking the same lecture as you (and that's like hundreds of people) can get to see your photo. Pretty creepy right? And I look so childish in mine, sigh, still got people ask me whether I took it in sec sch, hmpf.

Overwhelmed

Taking heed of Jacq's idea and put up my timetable. I've no idea how to but I'll try though.

The whole 3 weeks were so overwhelming. I could not make head or tail what have happened, what the hell they're going through and for the 1st time in so many years I rely a lot of my textbooks. *Faints* Oh I didn't mention the projects as well. It's like every other week I have a project due. How exciting can my life be. I was actually deciding to participate actively in my ECA but judging the way things go, I don't think I'll be able to. I really want to take a break from studies and really just chill. But bearing in mind the consequences, I've no courage to just relax. Much as I want to go town and eat walk talk and shop. Geez I hope I'll be able to meet up with you all soon. Like get out of Jurong. Argh..

BIdding is total shit work in nus.
got the feeling we pay school fees of few thousand bucks for the system to screw us.

everytime the system breaks down, u can hear a chorus of curses go down the hall, around the room, etc.. you get the idea la...
but one good thing is its damn versatile!
i get to do whatever whenever i want, so long as i do smart bidding.

or people with head pasted to the screen/ keyboard. cos we were so vex or tired of waiting for screen to load that we just slump there.
more extremes like me, wld treat the lab like my home, sitting crosslegged or with knees up on the seats, relax myself ma... haha
enough of CORS not fun system. anyway that CORS reminds me of SA's Chapel of Ressurection (COR too!) heh...
So far.. By right NUS starts school on 1st Aug... but well.. their orientation is a week long, so *th then start lectures...
15th we start tutorials i think. and NOv starts exam.. freaking' fast man...
miracles of miracles, i am doing English literature!!!!!!! oh man... Still dont understand whatever possessed me in the 1st place to bid for that. maybe cos its a cheap course. as in cheap in bidding.. it costs a bomb to buy lit texts. haha
i am also doing psychology(Pray i pass this. must take this as major!!! i want!!!), south asian studies, Singapore society, Geisha,samurais and yakuzas... steady right!!!
next term i wanna take pharmacy too!! haha. arts is kind of fun so long as you are willing to open yourself up to it. i guess everything is like that. what's important to make you happy is to find different perspectives! yae.
